ABOUT US

AMCM is more than a manage care company; our team is committed in providing quick outstanding results. At AMCM, our Nurse Case Management staff aggressively and professionally manages each case through to its optimal medical and vocational outcome.

Immediately after a claim is filed the Case Managers develop a plan of action that will ensure proper medical care and minimize the cost of unnecessary medical treatment. All along the way, the nurse case manager stays in continuous communication with the claimant, their employer, medical providers, and the AMCM claims management group. Each of these stakeholders share the common goal of achieving successful medical outcomes at the least possible cost, with minimal lost time, and at a high level of satisfaction.

AMCM Nurse Case Managers (NCM’s) ensure quality medical treatment for the injured worker by communicating with the treating doctor and not the Doctor’s support staff for disability updates.  The communication must be meaningful and productive. The goal is to return the injured worker to work.  The NCM is conducted either telephonically or face to face with the treating doctor.

Telephonic NCM communicates directly with the physician.  Doctor/patient relationship is established to ensure the appropriate treatment plan is met and that follow up care is rendered until the patient is released from care.  NCM is similar to a quarterback of football game executing the plays and working with the team (doctor, employee and employer) for the health and welfare of the injured worker.

Face to face NCM is meeting with the injured worker and the physician at the appointments and/or have a meeting with the doctor. The plays are executed face to face and the results are overwhelming when injured worker/doctor/employer is on the same team working toward the same goal “recovery to pre-injury status”.

AMCM has adopted the highest standards of practice. Our operational standards include:

•  Staff Structure and Organization

•  Staff Management and Development

•  Information Management

•  Quality Improvement

•  Oversight of Delegated Functions

•  Organizational Ethics

•  Complaints
